Purveyors of Equestrian Art, Curiosities and Unusual Equestrian Habits
Hippik belongs to the quirky and elegant, rather than the cute and cuddly, type of horse-themed establishment. One will never find rainbow-maned unicorns or pink plush ponies when browsing with us. Which is not to say that we don’t have a playful and softer side; Dark Horses need love, too.
What you will find are
Fine equestrian, equine and sporting art: paintings, sculptures, jewelry and unique (and undoubtedly odd) art objects and antiques.
Elegantly tailored, bespoke riding ensembles and equestrian corsetry and apparel, custom created to give you old-world style elegance with a dash of the dangerous; exclusively made equestrian style accessories and equipment—hats, gloves, whips, boots, perfume, and premium, ready-to-wear, new and vintage clothing and accessories.
Luxury horse care products as well as new, custom and vintage things for home and barn.
Curiosities, One-of-a-Kind Wonders, Found Items, and Cool Stuff: Perhaps a vintage sidesaddle, antique silver Italian ladies’ stirrups, leather cased antique hunting flasks, silver julep cups, reticulated equine skeletons, or a dusty horse-drawn hearse. On Sunday, we may have sterling matchboxes repousséed with a 19th century hunt scene and on Tuesday, it may be gone, replaced with two exquisitely carved meerschaum pipes or some other sundry thing that may appeal to our singular sensibilities. (Of which we have many.)
We are eccentrics. Or so we’ve been told. Dark horses are just as beautiful and can run just as fast.
